Productive LandscapesAchieving harmony between productive and natural landscapes
We work with landowners to build on their knowledge in a way that ensures and potentially enhances ongoing productivity.
Land management for conservation outcomes can be balanced with other sustainable land management practices, such as agricultural and food production and offset area management.
At Aroona, sustainable grazing practices go hand-in hand with conservation outcomes. We use cattle as land managers with a herd of 270 managed on a rotational system. Simultaneously, we prioritise protection, enhancement and rehabilitation of threatened species habitat. Aroona’s large areas of diverse native vegetation allow natural ecological processes to occur at the scale necessary to support varied and viable populations of conservation-significant wildlife.
