Improving habitat for Mahogany Glider and Cassowary

Come along to our field day at Ant Plant Nature Refuge!

Wander through the reserve with QTFN ecologist, Tanya Pritchard, and learn how to improve habitat for the Mahogany Glider and Cassowary.

Terrain NRM’s Kerrie McGrath, who is part of the Mahogany Glider Recovery Team, will discuss current initiatives in population surveys and management of Mahogany Glider Habitat.

Everyone is invited to get outdoors and experience the beautiful surroundings of Ant Plant Nature Refuge, home to precious species including cassowaries and mahogany gliders, both listed in the top 20 species within Australia’s Threatened Species strategy. Other vulnerable species on the site include the Ant Plant, and the associated Apollo Jewel Butterfly.

Feel free to bring along friends and family, this event is suitable for all ages.
